Head Coach: 15 Elite Black
Sean Liu has a very successful history in coaching Junior Olympic Volleyball. The Dayton Juniors 18s were qualified to Nationals 4 times in 5 years when Sean was head coach. The Metro Maryland 16's also went to Nationals in Liu's second year.
Liu finished his seventh season as an assistant coach at Maryland. With his vast knowledge of the game, Liu is in charge of basic court training as well as scouting and all aspects of recruiting.
Before his post at Maryland, Liu was an assistant coach at the University of Dayton where he served for seven seasons for the Flyers. During his tenure at Dayton, Liu helped guide the Flyers to a 133-83 (.616) record and the 1998 Atlantic Ten championship.
Prior to Dayton, Liu was a member of the Shenyang Military Command of the People's Liberation Army men's volleyball team in China for six years. He later became the head coach of the women's volleyball team for the same army.
Liu came to the United States in 1989 as an exchange teacher at Bay Village High School in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1992, he returned to the United States to earn his master's degree in physical education from the University of Dayton in 1995.

Played for University of Maryland Club team 1988-1990. Setting coach for Pac-West club 14-15U teams in Cupertino, California 1991-1992. Played several years on mens BB and A club teams. Assistant coach in HCYP 2011.

Division I volleyball at UMES 2010-2013 as a Libero/DS, won Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) volleyball championship – 2011 & 2012, two-time NCAA Tournament Appearances and named 2013 MEAC All-Conference Team, CEFCU All-Tournament Team, Sacred Heart Hampton Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Four-year Division I volleyball, Libero for UMBC, America East Defender of the Year 2016, Team MVP, 2016 and 2017, Two Time Team Captain and finished 17th in the NCAA Division I for digs per set in 2017.Played for MDJRS for 2 years 17s &18s, Prince Georges County Volleyball Player of the Year 2014 and Four-year varsity member at Eleanor Roosevelt High School.
