2026-2027 season Girls tryous

Unlike some clubs that send offers by email after tryouts, MDJRS coaches will make team offers during the tryout session.

For this reason, we strongly recommend attending MDJRS tryouts if you have a serious interest in joining our teams or if you consider MDJRS your preferred club.

Attending the tryout gives our coaches the opportunity to evaluate you in person and, when appropriate, make an offer during the tryout process. This also gives you the opportunity to secure your spot before available roster positions are offered to other players.

During the tryout session, players will receive either an Offer Letter/Commitment Form or a Waitlist Notice.

If You Receive an Offer

• If you receive an Offer Letter/Commitment Form, you must make your decision within the designated open period.
• If we do not receive your decision by the deadline, we will assume that you are declining the offer and will offer the position to the next player on the waitlist.
• If you decide to decline your offer, please notify us as soon as possible so that we can offer the position to another interested player.

If You Receive a Waitlist Notice

If you receive a Waitlist Notice, coaches will stay in contact with you over the next few days. You will be notified when:

• A position becomes available and you receive an offer to join the team, or
• The team roster is full and no additional positions are available.

Coaches will continue communicating with waitlisted players until all team positions have been filled. You may also contact the team coach if you have questions.

Please note that being placed on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot on the next-level team.

For example, if you try out for 15 Open Yellow and receive a Waitlist Notice, but 15 Regional Black (the next-level team) is also an option you would consider, we strongly recommend attending the Regional Black tryout as well. This gives you another opportunity to receive an offer and secure a team position in case the 15 Open Yellow roster is filled from its waitlist.

If you are only interested in playing on a specific team, there is no need to attend the next-level tryout.

Our goal is to make sure players and families have the information they need to make the best decision for the upcoming season.

Open Tryout Period: (using the USAV Age Definitions for 2027 season)

Girls teams 14 and under: October 23–27, 2026

Girls teams 15 and above: October 30–November 3, 2026

No recruiting contacts can be initiated with a prospective player or her agent once the Open Tryout Period begins. Players or their agent may initiate contact during this time. No recruiting contacts can be made once a prospective player has committed to a club.

Once you accept an offer from MDJRS, you are considered committed to our club/team and may not pursue or accept an offer from another club or team.

Per USAV and CHRVA policies, clubs and coaches may not make recruiting contact with players who have already committed to another club.

After accepting your offer, your coach will contact you with information about the club/team meeting in November. During this meeting, players and families will have the opportunity to:

• Sign the official team contract.
• Meet your teammates and coaching staff.
• Receive important information about the upcoming season.
• Order uniforms and team gear.
• Review other team-related details and expectations.
