Meet Daniel Banaszynski
Coach Daniel enters his 4th season with Maryland Juniors after spending the past three seasons coaching within the club. Most recently, he served as the Head Coach of the Boys 17 Black team.
Since joining Maryland Juniors, Daniel has helped lead multiple teams to AAU Open Nationals, including contributing to a Top 25 national finish as an assistant coach before taking over as a head coach. He is passionate about developing complete athletes by emphasizing technical skills, volleyball IQ, competitiveness, and a team-first culture while creating an environment where every player can reach their full potential.
In addition to his role at Maryland Juniors, Daniel is the Head Coach at Severn Run High School, where he guided the program to a Top 8 finish in the Maryland State Championships in just his second season. His coaching experience also includes time with Wyoming Whirlwind and YOSA, and he has directed numerous volleyball camps and position-specific clinics for athletes of all ages throughout the region.
Beyond coaching, Daniel serves as the Vice President of the Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association (CHRVA), helping support and grow the sport of volleyball throughout the region. He is SafeSport Certified, a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA), and holds NFHS Level I Coaching Accreditation.
