For more than 20 years, Coach Kyle has pursued volleyball wherever competition could be found. His playing career highlights include being named a district All-Star middle in high school, earning 13th place at nationals with the University of Chicago’s club team, and winning multiple open-level tournaments as an adult. He also had a brief stint with the Chicago Ice Men prior to the founding of the VLA. Kyle continues to compete in beach doubles at a high level.

Kyle began coaching in 2013, helping lead the University of Chicago club team to four top-10 finishes at nationals before the pandemic. This season marks his third year with Maryland Juniors, and he also serves as the boys JV coach at Archbishop Spalding High School.
