Ryan Van Oosten

Ryan was honorably discharged from the US Navy in 1999. He then graduated from Old Dominion University (ODU) in 2003 with a degree in Business Administration, where he also played College Ice Hockey for 3 years. In 2012 he received an MBA with a focus on Healthcare Management, from Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). Ryan started playing volleyball more than 3 decades ago, while in middle school. His experience includes playing on his high school, several College Club, and US Navy teams, even winning the Captain’s Cup while stationed on the USS Arleigh Burke. Ryan is a member of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) as well as an AOC Level 2 Certified Head Volleyball Coach. He started coaching volleyball with Howard County and made the transition to club volleyball many years ago. Ryan has been the Head and/or Assistant Coach at just about every age and compete level at Maryland Juniors. He is also the Varsity Volunteer Assistant Coach and Team Statistician at Long Reach High School.
